Canopy
The Britax B-Ready comes with a large foldable canopy that can provide lots of protection from the elements for your baby. In addition, the canopy comes with a full mesh window so that you can allow air to circulate through the stroller and keep an eye on your baby at the same time. Unlike other strollers, the flap that covers the window is secured with a magnet rather than velcro so that you won’t disturb them when you want to have a quick peek. The canopy also has a sun visor so that you can provide that extra protection on those bright sunny days.
Basket
The basket that the stroller comes with is huge and is capable of holding a lot of things. A nice thing about this basket is that it’s accessible from all sides, so if you happen to have the second seat attached as well, you can still access the storage from the front. In addition to the basket, the stroller also comes with a cup holder so that you have somewhere to put your cup of coffee or your baby’s bottle while you are out.
Wheels and Brakes
The front wheels on the Britax B-Ready can swivel for easy maneuverability or can be locked straight if you’re going over bumpier terrain. Even though it’s not an all-terrain stroller, you can still push it over most surfaces like grass and gravel. All of the wheels are also made of rubber and aren’t filled with air, so you don’t have to worry about getting a flat anywhere. In addition, the stroller also has an all-wheel suspension system to give your baby a comfortable ride when you are going over bumpy surfaces.
Unlike other strollers, this one does not come with a brake bar to activate the brakes. Instead, there is a small lever beside the rear right wheel that you press to activate and deactivate the brakes for both rear wheels. It also has a little indicator with the lever to tell you whether the brakes are on or not.
Folding
Folding the Britax B-Ready is extremely simple as well and you don’t even have to remove the seat to do it. All you have to do is first apply the brakes and lift the two levers on the sides of the handlebar. Then just push the handlebar down until the stroller has completely folded into a standing fold. If you also happen to have the second seat attached, you can leave that one in too when folding it.
Colors
The Britax B-Ready comes in a number of different colors, so there’s a good selection available to choose from if you’re picky about colors. Available colors include black, red, green, pink, silver, and Mediterranean. There is also a twilight version where the frame and wheels are all black and comes with a beige colored seat.
What Are Others Saying About The Britax B-Ready
Looking at the testimonials given by people who have purchased Britax B-Ready, the general consensus is that it’s a great stroller. Aside from a few complaints about minor details, most people didn’t find any major issues with it.
A user named littlecorazon bought one from Amazon had this to say about it:
“I gave this stroller a four stars because it is heavy. Other than that the stroller is great. Easy to maneuver. I have a 2 month old and a 2 year old and having the option of adapting a second seat for the two year old is awesome. It glides easily and the basket is great. The stroller is very well made and both kids seem pretty comfortable in it.”
Even though they found it a bit heavy, they liked the option of being able to have a second seat attached to the stroller as well as its build quality. Another user named Tristan also bought on Amazon and had this to say:
“It’s just a tad too wide for city usage. We live in Manhattan and many times, we got stuck in the door of various stores and restaurants because the wheel base is a bit wide, even though you wouldn’t think of it. The bugaboo, which we had before this, is a better city stroller because it’s narrow, lighter, and easier to maneuver. But if consider how comfortable the B-Ready stroller is, and how it could fit another child with the extra attachments to buy, it’s better than anything out there, including the bugaboo tandem stroller.”
They also liked how it was able to fit two kids with the added second seat, although they felt it was a bit wide and had gotten it stuck in doorways. Purseblog.com’s forum had one user with this to say about the stroller:
“I’m using the Britax B-Ready as a single right now, and I am loving it! It is easy to use, rolls like a dream, and it hasn’t taken me long to get used to folding & unfolding it.
The only negative thing I have to report so far, is the bar that goes across the seat? Yeah… I have one of those kids that chews on EVERYTHING, and DD chewed a hole on the back of the bar very quickly when I wasn’t looking the other day.”
Although the stroller is easy to push and easy to fold/unfold, the bumper bar that goes across the seat can be an issue if your child is going through a chewing phase.
