Hood
Protection from the elements
The Stokke Xplory has a waterproof two-piece foldable hood that will allow you to protect your baby from the wind, rain, and bright lights. It is also has securing snaps, so that the hood stays at the angle you want without it moving around. The first part of the hood measures 14 inches deep, while the second part measures 10 inches. With the second part of the hood, you can also flip up the outer layer to reveal a full mesh panel. This allows you to provide air circulation for your baby as well as acting as a viewing window so you can keep an eye on them. At the front of the hood, there is also an extendable visor so that you can provide some extra shade on those really sunny days.
Wheels and Brakes

The wheels are made of a durable but soft rubber material which prevent any sort of punctures from occurring. The front non-locking swivel wheels allow you to easily maneuver the stroller around tight spaces without bumping into everything. Its larger rear wheels are easily removable and allow you to go into 2-wheel mode while navigating tougher terrain such as sand or gravel or when going up and down stairs. Another nice feature the stroller has is the special arch that is between the rear wheels. This prevents accidental kicking of the stroller while you are walking with it so you don’t have to worry if you have a bigger stride.
Unlike some other strollers that may have a brake bar to lock the rear wheels, the Stokke Xplory has a simple lever beside the rear right wheel that you press to automatically lock both rear wheels. To lock the wheels, simply press down on the lever and to unlock the wheels, press on the upper part of the lever.
Folding
Compact and easy to transport when folded
Folding the Stokke Xplory is simple and doesn’t have any complex steps involved. First, you have to remove the seat and footrest from the stroller. Next, bring the handlebar all the way back down by pulling the latch at the top. Then, you just push in the upper lever and pull on the lower lever, which are located together in the middle of the central bar and then step on the white rectangular bar located between the rear wheels. This will cause frame to fold and move the front wheels in between the rear wheels.
If you want to leave the seat and footrest attached to the stroller, you can still fold it the same way by pushing in the upper lever and pulling on the lower lever and this will give you the 2-wheel mode that was mentioned earlier.
Colors
This stroller is available in several different colors, so if you’re picky about color there’s a nice selection for you to choose from. Available colors include purple, red, beige, light green, green, blue, and dark navy.
